HIGHLY INTEGRATED DESIGN FLOW
MULTICAP 7 SCHEMATIC CAPTURE
Multicap 7 is an exceptional capture program, suitable for pure schematic entry, driving simulation, or feeding PCB layout. A well-designed user interface reduces the time and steps needed for repetitive schematic entry tasks. Powerful wiring algorithms enable automatic wiring as well as part dragging without losing connections. Parts are easy to find and quick to place, making you more efficient. All devices are stored in an integrated database along with their simulation models and PCB footprints so that your schematics are automatically ready to simulate at the click of a single button, and are easily transferable to PCB layout. Learn more.
MULTISIM 7 SIMULATION & CAPTURE
Multisim 7 is a powerful simulation tool which includes a complete, fully integrated version of Multicap 7 for design entry leading to simulation. Multisim is by far the world's most widely used SPICE simulator. Using patented technology, the program also co-simulates SPICE, VHDL, Verilog and RF devices so that you can analyze complete boards containing devices not practically modeled in SPICE. Verify circuits and locate errors before they propagate further down the design flow and become costly mistakes. Investigate circuits using the industry's only virtual instruments and "change-on-the-fly" interactive simulation. Every PCB design should now include simulation as a key step. Learn more.
ULTIBOARD 7 PCB LAYOUT
Ultiboard 7 combines power with ease of use to quickly get error-free boards to production. The program uses one of the industry's only real-time systems so that all DRC, ratsnest, polygon, and force vector information is updated in real-time as you work, for instant feedback. Ultiboard's user interface is carefully designed so that the most critical repetitive tasks such as trace editing and component placement can be performed quickly with minimum steps and fewer mouse clicks. Ultiboard supports simple to advanced boards, high-speed designs, up to 64 layers, 1 nanometer resolution, microvias and today's most complex packages (such as BGAs). Manufacturing optimization features are also included to ensure efficient error-free production, with available CAM functionality. Learn more.
ULTIROUTE 7 AUTOROUTING
Ultiroute 7 is the only autorouting program to employ "Progressive Routing" breakthrough technology that combines grid and gridless (or shape-based) routing techniques into a single engine. Get better board layouts with higher completion, shorter trace lengths, and fewer vias through gridless routing, while most traces are still placed on the grid for easy editing. With Ultiroute, you will make more efficient use of limited board space and reduce production costs. And you have complete control over all configuration factors affecting routing strategy. Learn more.
COMMSIM 7 COMMUNICATIONS SYSTEM DESIGN
Commsim 7 is a powerful yet easy to use simulation tool for physical level network and communication systems design. It allows you to view signal waveforms at any point in your system, via a natural sequence of steps. Commsim features an intuitive user interface enabling drag and drop simplicity. The library contains over 200 blocks and includes models for the latest technologies like Wireless LAN. Use Commsim for fast and accurate analog, digital and mixed mode communications systems design.
COST-EFFECTIVE SOLUTIONS WITH UNLIMITED FLEXIBILITY
There are two compelling reasons to move up to an Electronics Workbench Suite. First, you will benefit from powerful and timesaving features that arise as the result of the tight forward and backward integration between the products in the Series 7 family. Second, you will receive a substantial discount over the purchase price of the individual software tools.
Other vendors offer only a limited selection of product bundles, forcing you to pay for products you dont need. In contrast, we provide you with the freedom to configure the ideal solution for your design needs from our complete range of products, allowing you to invest in only those tools that deliver value to your organization.
SCHEMATIC CAPTURE
Multicap 7 is an exceptional capture program, suitable for pure schematic entry, driving simulation, or feeding PCB layout. A well-designed user interface reduces the time and steps needed for repetitive schematic entry tasks. Powerful wiring algorithms enable automatic wiring as well as part dragging without losing connections. Parts are easy to find and quick to place, making you more efficient. All devices are stored in an integrated database along with their simulation models and PCB footprints so that your schematics are automatically ready to simulate at the click of a single button, and are easily transferable to PCB layout.
SIMULATION & CAPTURE
Multisim is an integrated desktop design entry and simulation system, part of the Electronics Workbench design flow for mainstream professional design engineers. Multisim provides flexible design entry including schematic capture, a comprehensive component database and an advanced yet easy-to-use simulation system for SPICE, VHDL and Verilog and RF models.
Schematic capture with Electronics Workbench is fast and intuitive, with an intelligent user interface design and features that create a natural, productive work flow. Multisim 7 includes a completely integrated version of Multicap 7 - the industry's only all new capture program in a decade - for design entry leading to simulation. Learn more about Multicap 7.
The component database is one of the largest available. It includes simulation models and footprints for each part, so that schematics are ready for simulation or PCB layout immediately upon capture. Users can easily edit, import or create parts and generate simulation models for new components.
Simulation is integrated into the schematic capture environment: simply activate the design with a single click and view its behavior with a range of virtual instruments. A patented co-simulation engine manages multiple concurrent simulations and displays a unified result, letting users analyze the complete circuit with a combination of SPICE, VHDL, Verilog and C-code models for a more accurate view of the system's complete behavior.
PCB LAYOUT
Ultiboard has been carefully designed to maximize your productivity. By intelligently optimizing the most common, repetitive tasks such as part and trace placement, we have dramatically reduced the number of keystrokes and mouse movements required. And 3D visualization with Mechanical CAD makes sure that your board not only functions properly, but also fits appropriately into its housing/enclosures. Ultiboard handles todays higher speed designs with ease using constraint driven layout. Innovative features such as Real-Time design rule checking, Push & Shove components & traces, and "Follow-me trace editing ensure that you rapidly complete an error-free board.
AUTOROUTING
For all but the most basic PCBs, the density and complexity of todays designs can make manual component and trace placement techniques impractical. For these designs, Electronics Workbench offers Ultiroute a state-of-the-art autorouting and autoplacement tool.
Electronics Workbench software easily handles complex designs
including large multi-layer boards and high-pin-count components
such as BGAs. Ultiroute ensures high circuit performance and
lower production costs for these demanding projects by uniquely
combining the best of gridless (shape-based) and grid-based
routing.
In benchmark tests against other leading autorouters, Ultiroute consistently delivers noticeably superior board designs with fewer
vias and shorter copper lengths.
