PCB and Electronics News Omron Releases the VT-RNS High Density PCB Inspection Equipment Series Kyoto, Japan, Oct 8, 2004 - (JCN Newswire) - OMRON Corporation (TSE: 6645; US:OMRNY), a global leader in automation, sensing and control technology has announced the release of the VT-RNS High Density PCB (Printed Circuit Board) Inspection Equipment series. Based on Omron's cutting-edge "sensing & control" and "inspection" technologies, the new VT-RNS series couples these technologies with added functionality effective to the digital consumer-electronics industry. The VT-RNS series was on display at PROTEC Japan 2004 (Electronic Manufacturing Process Technology Exhibition 2004), which runs from October 6th to 8th at the Makuhari Messe near Tokyo. Omron has developed the new "VT-RNS Series" to address new and urgent requirements in the inspection industry. As mobile phones, digital cameras and other products in the digital consumer electronics industry become smaller with higher performance and greater functionality, PCB chips must also be smaller and of higher density. Further, demands for lead-free manufacturing are also accelerating. Thus it has become very difficult to maintain product quality with current inspection methods. A diversification of manufacturing methods in response to faster manufacturing cycles, shorter product time-lines and small quantity production compound pressures on inspection methods. Further, quality assurance concepts have changed from "final assurance" to "process assurance"; and from "no defective products running on the product line" to "no manufacturing of defective products". Inspection equipment has taken a leading role in process assurance and will continue to play a growing role in the future. About OMRON Headquartered in Kyoto, Japan, OMRON Corporation is a global leader in the field of automation. Established in 1933 and headed by President Hisao Sakuta, Omron has more than 24,000 employees in over 35 countries working to provide products and services to customers in a variety of fields including industrial automation, electronic components, social systems (ticket gate machines, ticket vending machines, cash dispensers, and traffic control), and healthcare. The company is divided into five regions and head offices are in Japan (Kyoto), Asia Pacific (Singapore), China (Hong Kong), Europe (Amsterdam) and US (Chicago). Benefits include the space saving efficiency of a stacked design with proven BNC reliability. Applications include test equipment, RF patch panels, lab instrumentation and other situations where a strong and reliable physical connection is important. Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) December 3, 2005 -- Regal Electronics has added a new metal body dual-stack BNC connector to its connector line. The new connector combines the space saving efficiency of a stacked design with the proven reliability of the time-tested BNC configuration. The twisting snap-lock design of the BNC connector has made it a consistent favorite for applications such as test equipment, radio frequency patch panels, and lab instrumentation where a strong and reliable physical connection is important. The new Regal BNC 31202-HM Series connector has a metal body for strength and shielding and is available with an impedance of either 50 or 75 ohms. The connector is configured for easy through-hole PCB mounting with snap-in metal ears that can also be soldered for added mounting strength and circuit connectivity. About Regal Electronics, Inc. Higher orders from Dyson to benefit VS Industry BY YVONNE TAN VS Industry has several key customers, which include Britain-based Dyson, Sony, Toshiba, Panasonic, Sharp, Samsung, Creative, Hitachi, Mitsubishi, Hozelock and Brother. The group provides one-stop manufacturing solutions of mould design and fabrication, plastic injection, finishing processes, printed circuit board (PCB) assembly and large-scale assembly. Its core products are high-end vacuum cleaners (mainly for Dyson), mould fabrication, PCB assembly, projector/plasma televisions, remote controllers, casings for consumer electronics and house brand appliances. Said RHB Research: The main earnings driver would be the expected increasing orders from Dyson. It added that Dyson, which is Europes leading vacuum cleaners provider, was targeting to grow its existing volume of three million units a year to about six million in three years. It said that VS Industry was in an excellent position to benefit from Dysons strategy, given that it was one of Dyson's two contract manufacturers. On its investment risks, RHB Research said the companys mining and plantation investments, which it had recently embarked on in Indonesia, may be viewed as a diversion from its core business of plastic injection and contract manufacturing. VS Industry recorded a net profit of RM6.9mil on the back of RM920mil in revenue for fiscal 2004. For this year, the company is forecast to record a net profit of RM26.5mil with RM833mil in revenue. This is an earnings recovery play given that fiscal 2005 net profit is expected to jump by close to 300%, said RHB Research. At current price, it would be trading at price-earnings ratio (PER) of 6.3 times for financial year 2005. We are pegging our indicative fair value at a PER of 8.8 times in fiscal 2005, said RHB Research.
